Ha Noi to illuminate Hoan Kiem Lake to celebrate New Year

DTO/NDO- An artistic lighting space at Hoan Kiem Lake in central Ha Noi will be launched on the evening of December 24 as part of a series of activities organised by the capital city to celebrate the New Year.

According to the organisers, the illumination of Turtle Tower and Hoan Kiem Lake will take place every night until January 4 and is expected, to offer visitors a new experience.

Also within the Hoan Kiem Lake area, a digital art exhibition will open on December 26 at the 93 Dinh Tien Hoang Exhibition Centre, aiming to bring the capital city’s heritage closer to the public through the language of digital technology and contemporary art.

The exhibition utilises digital projection, lighting and interactive multimedia technologies to tell stories about Ha Noi’s history and cultural life in a visually and emotionally rich manner.

It is not only a destination for visitors to learn about the core values that define Ha Noi, but also a platform for testing new approaches to promoting the capital city’s heritage values.

Another highlight is the countdown programme, which will bring together leading domestic and international performers at the newly expanded Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square on the last day of the year.
