Hong Ngu Ward hosts "Southwest Border Affection" program

(DTO) The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanh Thong Ward (Ho Chi Minh City), in collaboration with its counterpart in Hong Ngu Ward and the Lien Tam charity group, organized the "Southwest Border Affection" program on April 19. Under the theme "Sending a Ray of Light," the event drew support from various benefactors to assist border communities.

The program delivered 500 gift packages, each worth VND700,000, to persons with disabilities in difficult circumstances and disadvantaged students with good academic performance in Hong Ngu Ward. It also presented 20 bicycles and 20 gift packages to underprivileged students to support their schooling, and provided funding for the construction of three “Great Solidarity” houses for local residents.

The delegation also presented funding support to the Hong Ngu Ward Military Command, officers and soldiers of Company 2 (Battalion 1, Regiment 320), and the Binh Thanh Border Guard Station.

In addition, support was provided for community works such as bridge repairs, along with the donation of notebooks, ao dai, and essential goods to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hong Ngu Ward.

The total value of the program reached nearly VND700 million, funded by the Lien Tam charity group and benefactors in Ho Chi Minh City.
