Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Minh Tuan Chairs the 41st Ap Bac Cross-Country Run – 2026 Organizing Committee Meeting
(DTO) On the afternoon of December 25, the Organizing Committee of the 41st Ap Bac Cross-Country Race – 2026 convened a working meeting to review preparations for the event. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee, and Head of the Organizing Committee.
At the meeting, Dong Thap Press and Radio – Television Station (the Standing Agency of the Organizing Committee) reported on the progress of implementing the event’s organization plan. Accordingly, the unit has submitted to the Provincial People’s Committee the issuance of Plan No. 735/KH-UBND dated December 17, 2025 on organizing the 41st Ap Bac Cross-Country Race – 2026; Decision No. 3008/QD-UBND dated December 19, 2025 on the establishment of the Organizing Committee; and Decision No. 250/QD-SVHTTDL dated December 10, 2025 promulgating the competition regulations.

In addition, the Organizing Committee has sent official letters requesting the Tien Giang Motorbike Association to assist in securing the race routes; mobilized sponsors to ensure funding for the event and to supplement prize money for athletes; and held working sessions with the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center and Dao Thanh Ward to discuss specific preparations. Promotional materials such as banners and flags have been prepared, and a request has been submitted to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism for permission to display flags along major roads and install inflatable arches at the finish line.
In the coming time, the Organizing Committee will continue coordinating with the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center to organize meetings with participating teams to discuss technical and professional matters, competition regulations, and the distribution of race jerseys.
Special attention will be given to preparations for the opening and closing ceremonies, including stage setup, sound and lighting systems, seating, parking arrangements, invitation letters, and floral decorations. Communication and promotion efforts will also be intensified through banners and flags along major routes, inflatable arches at the finish line, livestreaming of the opening ceremony and short-distance race starts, as well as coverage on Dong Thap Newspaper and Radio-Television Station.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Huynh Minh Tuan requested members of the Organizing Committee and relevant agencies to closely coordinate to ensure safety along the race routes for athletes, minimize disruptions to local traffic, maintain public order and security, ensure adequate medical services, and effectively organize the opening and closing ceremonies of the race.
